Afghan tries to ram NATO patrol, kills 2 civilians

NATO says an Afghan driver tried to ram a coalition patrol in southern Afghanistan but ended up in a ditch after troops opened fire on his car. A passenger and a passer by where killed when the car flipped over.
British Maj. Tim James, a spokesman for the international alliance, says three NATO soldiers were also injured in Thursday's attack, which took place in Kandahar province. He described the attack as deliberate.
James said four other civilians were also injured. He says the driver was also hurt and taken to a hospital. It was unclear if the driver was arrested.
